Blame It

Who’s to blame for the mud that’s on the floor?

Take the heat for what’s tracked through the door

I need someone to blame it on, put the blame on someone other than me

All the mud that’s on the floor is yours, the mud did not come from me

chorus:

Don’t know why you think it’s that bad

(It's not me)

To tell you the truth, I think it’s our dad

There’s hardly any mud there on the floor.

But it’s not just mud that you tracked through the door

You brought along some .... and so much more

Before you take a step closer, take one step back,

Right outside the door wipe your feet on the door mat.

Upset after being repeatedly blamed for accidents he didn't cause, Austin wrote "Blame It" on his guitar in spring of 2001. The influences of At The Drive-In and No Doubt (?) can be found within the song.

"Blame It" first appeared on Wing It before being rerecorded for Start The Reactor!

"Blame It" was also featured on Channel One News, a news program broadcast to millions of students across the nation.  After four consecutive weeks of air-time, "Blame It" was placed in the Channel One News All-Request Thursday Hall of Fame.
